Services
INDIVIDUAL SESSION (1:1)​
Parents, alongside therapists can determine where sessions will occur to create the best environment for the child! Home, community and virtual options available. Session can focus on a number of different areas including (but not limited to):

- Early intervention including infant motor development screening, assessment and treatment
- Neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment for children with complex bodies (including diagnosis of neuromotor conditions, neuromuscular conditions etc)
- Infant torticollis and head shape assessment and treatment
- Coordination, balance & strengthening programming
- Chronic and acute injury assessment and treatment
- Dynamic Movement Intervention (DMI) - Introductory Level C

FAMILY SUPPORTS FOR CHILDREN WITH DISABILITIES

AAPS is a vendor with FSCD and offers single and multidisciplinary approaches for therapeutic support.
We are currently servicing Edmonton & Central Zone families! ​We offer specialized services & BDS contracts as a vendor (direct billing) and through family managed care contracts.
Our goal is to provide exceptional, personalized services to a small number FSCD clients, so we can be responsive to child and family priorities and goals.

AAPS partners collaboratively with other businesses to offer specialized services with OT & SLP. We aim to curate a team for you that blends expertise with enthusiasm and joy!

PRESCHOOL/SCHOOL SERVICES​

We offer individual consults, assessment & treatment.
​
A strong focus on collaboration with both school and family is a priority.
​
Additional services include continuing education, universal support and provision of adaptive equipment.
GROUP PROGRAMMING
​
At AAPS, we love to have fun and play! Learning movement and mobility is often more fun with friends!
We can provide groups and teaching on infant motor development, toddler/preschool active movement groups and physical literacy groups.
These are completely customizable based on age, target audience and environment.
COMPREHENSIVE ASSESSMENT​

Postural Care Assessment and Treatment
​
Learn how to protect the body shape of children with disabilities and/or movement challenges. We provide training and consultation to families to best support their child over a 24 hours.

Adaptive Equipment Consultation
​
Adaptive equipment is vital for a child to enjoy and participate in their day! We aim to provide collaborative assessment and prescription of mobility equipment including wheelchair, power mobility, standing frames, walkers, adaptive seating , transfer and lifting, bathing and home accessibility!

Our mini-intensive model offers focused, hands-on support in a quiet, comfortable home or clinic environment where children can relax and thrive. Led by Candra, our experienced pediatric PT, each session blends neurodevelopmental principles with playful, functional activities that build strength, coordination, and confidence.

Using DMI and other effective physical therapy techniques & equipment , we design each intensive to fit the unique needs of every child and their family. These sessions are fully tailored—reach out with some dates, and we’ll work with you to create an intensive that fits your schedule and goals.
